The FILIPINO-AMERICAN MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT, INCORPORATED (FAME) is a non-stock, non-profit foundation established in the United States and the Philippines by business executives and veterans to assist in the preservation and maintenance of Fil-Am WWII memorials.
Founded in 1986 under the auspices of the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, Inc., it is solely supported by donations.
FAME's mission: to help preserve and maintain tangible reminders of the shared values for which Americans, Filipinos and their allies fought side-by-side in World War II.
FAME's objective:to raise funds in order to help maintain those monuments dedicated in memory of the Filipino-American cooperation during World War II; NOT to build new memorials.
(N.B. - U.S.-based donations are tax deductible under IRS Sec. 501 (c) (3), Federal Tax ID #31-1216785; FAME is a designated "donee institution" in reference to Philippine-based donations. Donors may specify a specific project from those listed below.)
