For The American Chamber Foundation Philippines, Inc (ACFPI)



Under the overall supervision of the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for management of the Foundation’s Youth Development and Education Program; and Corporate Partnerships.


Job Purpose:

  1. Manage an effective implementation of Scholarship programs and services as well as the community projects of AmCham Foundation;
  2. Handle case management of ACFPI scholars;
  3. Coordinate and organize programs, psycho-social activities and other services to develop the well-being of the scholars; and
  4. Handle efficient and effective community outreach projects of partners.


Key Job Responsibilities


Education Program

  1. In collaboration with the Foundation staff, define the Scholarship Program goals and activities for the year and establish plans and strategies to achieve the goals
  2. Networks with other organizations, LGUs and other stakeholders for efficient and effective implementation of the Program
  3. Use appropriate research to monitor and evaluate outcomes including but not limited to home and school visits
  4. Prepares donor reports, proposals, articles and other documentation pertaining to all programs, projects and activities for scholars.
  5. Maintain an updated case management of all scholars
  6. Implement disaster relief operations when necessary



  1. In coordination with partner companies supporting scholars, define the goals and the strategies for their Scholarship Programs
  2. Arrange the working schedule that is appropriate to the program of partner company
  3. Work with the other partners or NGOs in order to implement projects
  4. Maintain accurate records that would be needed for the external audit required by partner companies
  5. Give program feedback or respond immediately to all the communications coming from partner companies
  6. Evaluate the work done as compared to the plan and make corrections as necessary


  • Collect and maintain a database of past and present scholars (graduates, number employed/unemployed, etc.)
  • Assess data to update case management of each scholars
  • Provide technical input in developing programs, policies and guidelines, for sufficient and effective delivery of services to target clientele.
  • Timely implementation of plans (meetings, visits, etc.) and disbursement of funds
  • Provide regular reports on the services and the financial assistance given to each scholar
  • Beneficiaries availed the programs and services
  • Activities are implemented as planned
  • Program and services are implemented within the budget
  • Partnership with different organizations are maintained
  • Donors are updated with the activities, programs or services



  1. Set goals and measure performance of Social Worker/Program Officer
  2. In coordination with the Social Worker/Program Officer, Fundraisers, and Accounting, allocate budget for program activities
  3. Approve the activities related to youth development
  4. Referral of cases to other organizations
  5. Review and update case management of scholars
  6. Oversee the implementation and evaluation of the programs and services
  7. Travel according to the requirements of the job
  8. Request for assistance from the staff whenever necessary



  1. Assist with the preparation of the annual Foundation budget for grants and programs to assure expenditures are balanced to revenues.
  2. Explain variances between the budget and actual expenditures


  1. Serve as liaison to regulating agencies to provide and receive continuous information.
  2. Interpret regulations and accounting policies and procedures from government agencies, like DSWD, DepED and assists management in meeting requirements.
  3. Function as the primary contact for external fiscal audits.


Required Qualifications and Experience:

Academic Background and Work Experience

 Academic Background

  – Graduate of Social Work, Social Development or any other related courses

  – Licensed Social Worker


  – Computer literate, Technical Writing, Project development, management and evaluation

  – Financial management, Supervisory skills


  – at least two (2) years’ experience in implementing youth development programs

  – at least two (2) years’ experience as supervisor

  – at least one (1) year experience in resource mobilization and networking

  – Knowledge of Foundation policies and procedures

i. Principles of grants and programs and management

ii. Budget and financial analysis and projection techniques

iii. Auditing principles and practices

iv. Spreadsheet and word-processing practices and techniques

  – Experience preparing reports, budgets, statistics and coordinate administrative activities;

  – Good knowledge of MS Office products, specifically Excel, and good computer literacy skills required;

  – Ability to prepare clear and concise reports, supervise staff and coordinate administrative activities.

  – Knowledge of accounting systems, software and procedures a distinct advantage
